On January 25, 2025, our team organized a successful birding and clean-up event along the majestic River Nile in Aswan. Our mission was clear: to tackle the pressing issue of plastic litter in this vital bird habitat and inspire our community to take action.

The Clean-up event served a dual purpose: to clean up the environment and to promote birdwatching. As we collected plastic waste, our team also kept a keen eye on the skies, spotting over 40 bird species in the area. It was a perfect blend of conservation and recreation.
Plastic litter is a significant threat to birds and wildlife, causing harm and even death through entanglement, suffocation, and ingestion. By cleaning up the River Nile, we aimed to create a safer and healthier environment for the birds that call this area home.

Our event was designed to engage the local community and encourage people to take pride in their environment. We believe that by working together, we can make a real difference and inspire others to join the movement.
We hope that our simple event will inspire others to take action in their own neighborhoods. Every small step counts, and collective efforts can lead to significant positive change. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved and look forward to continuing our work in protecting the environment and promoting birdwatching.

If you’re passionate about birdwatching, environmental conservation, or simply want to make a difference, join us in our mission to create a cleaner, greener Aswan. Together, we can make a real impact and ensure that our city’s natural beauty is preserved for generations to come.
