Our Story
In the golden silence of Aswan, where the desert meets the Nile and migratory routes converge, Aswan Birdwatching was born from a simple yet powerful idea: Every sighting tells a story.
Founded by Ismael Khalifa, a passionate birder and field naturalist, the project began not as a business—but as a lifelong pursuit of understanding birds, landscapes, and the quiet connections between them.
Over the years, that passion evolved into a professional guiding experience that brings birders from around the world into one of the richest and least-explored birding destinations on Earth.
Our Mission
To provide world-class, ethical birdwatching experiences that connect people with the unique avian biodiversity of Aswan while promoting the conservation of Egypt’s natural habitats.
Our Vision
To become the leading authority on birding in southern Egypt, fostering a global community of nature enthusiasts who value and protect the migratory routes and resident species of the Nile and Lake Nasser.
